DETAILED DESCRIPTION (click to expand)

Here is an incredible and rare opportunity to get a consecutive stereo pair of Sony C48s in their original cases for a very reasonable price if looks aren't a priority.

Even though these C48s may look a little rough around the edges, and maybe even a little wonky, they sound absolutely perfect and have no functional issues whatsoever.

As you can plainly see from the photos, the mics have a few standard dings and scratches as well as one really big scratch on each mic, where someone aggressively removed what I can only assume to be the call letters of a Japanese TV or radio station like NHK, NTV, or JOS. The serial numbers in the mics are intact, and consecutive: 1322 and 1323. One of the two mics has a funny tilt to it as well. This is not uncommon for the C48, but this particular lean is pretty substantial, but of course does not impact the sound, functionality or longevity of the microphone.

This stereo pair was put up next to our studio's consecutive stereo pair, and they sound virtually identical.

If you are more interested in spending more for a cosmetically perfect sequential pair, just let me know. I'm ok with keeping this pair and selling of our nice ones.
