DETAILED DESCRIPTION (click to expand)

This is a Sanken MS-7C medium-diaphragm omnidirectional dynamic microphone. Sanken is a Japanese microphone manufacturer  that has consistently been making some of the most innovative and incredible sounding mics in the world for almost 100 years. No shit! I have literally never used a Sanken mic I didn’t love whether vintage or new, on every level from build quality to aesthetics and most importantly of course, sound. The MS-7C is build like a tank with precision machined aluminum used throughout, including the military-grade capsule grill. From what information I could find, the MS-7C was designed as a broadcasting microphone, but excels in every studio application we’ve tried so far, such as ambient room mics and close amp mics. These aren’t terribly rare or expensive, and definitely perform above their price range.
