Sanken mics are some of the best in the world, and that goes for every Sanken mic I've encountered, including their old mics and their dynamics as well. The MO-211 is one of my personal favorites, and this one is from our studio's mic closet. It's a small diaphragm omni dynamic with exceptional transient response, clarity, high frequency detail and unusually natural full-range response. They do not sound like any other dynamic mics I've ever encountered and have a surprisingly life-like representation of the source.
This MO-211 is especially cool because of its champaign coloring, the bright orange Japanese symbols engraved on its body and the blue Sanken logo.
