A fantastic and underrated unidirectional ribbon
microphone from the 60’s. Most of them sound pretty bad unless you have a professional clean the old glue and replace the crusty cloth from the rear acoustic chamber, clean out the ribbon motor, and install fresh new ribbon. After servicing, they sound like a completely different mic that isn't just useable, but quite impressive sounding with huge but controlled low end and truly remarkable upper midrange and top end, even compared with a modern ribbon mic. Tons of character and extremely versatile at the same time.
This one is fully cleaned and restored by Cole, new cable and connector by us, and in fair
cosmetic condition with some big paint chips missing and some blemishes - still not bad for a 60+ year old mic.
The original stand mount adapter was missing, so we fashioned a modern adapter to fit inside and hold tight. It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it works. Might try coming up with a better solution before shipping it out, but at the same time, the mic is priced accordingly.

The recording below was made entirely using only a pair of serviced ML17s on each instrument. This is our original Microphone Jingle, written and performed by Damion. There is no processing on any of the tracks.
