The MD52a is a very classy microphone. I've always been enamored by the beautiful engraving on the heavy-duty body, the precision machined pivoting mic clip, the way it screws onto the body between the proprietary 4-pin connector, and how this compact mic can feel so substantial and sturdy despite its diminutive size. The MD52a isn't terribly rare, but it's very hard to find a good sounding example - nine out of ten of them sound trashy and lo-fi.
This particular MD52a isn't just a great sounding example, it's virtually NOS and totally perfect inside and out, with full-range sound that works well anywhere you'd want to stick a dynamic mic. We've replaced the original Soviet output connector with a brand new XLR, and the mic comes in its original Oktava case.
