The National WM-701 is an exceptionally rare Japanese microphone from the 1960's. The microphone uses the sum of the signals from its bi-directional ribbon and omni-directional dynamic capsule to create a unidirectional/cardioid pickup pattern. The signals are summed at an output transformer with a 600 ohm output impedance.
This microphone has been fully serviced with new ribbons and clean diaphragms by Cole Suddarth at Cole Picks Vintage.
