DETAILED DESCRIPTION (click to expand)

The National CE-501 is an exceptionally rare Japanese microphone from the 1960's. The microphone uses the sum of the signals from its bi-directional ribbon and omni-directional dynamic capsule to create a unidirectional/cardioid pickup pattern. The signals are summed at an output transformer with a 600 ohm output impedance.

This listing is for a pair of CE-501s only 19 serial numbers apart in their original pastel pink and pastel green suitcases. Both microphones have been fully serviced with new ribbons and clean diaphragms by Cole Suddarth at Cole Picks Vintage.
