The Benson Studio Tall Bird is a stereo spring reverb unit with a tube gain amplifier, and 1/4" transformer balanced line-level inputs and output connections. The controls are stereo-ganged, and allow you to control the input gain, output level, and high and low shelving EQs.
This reverb truly sounds fantastic, and very different from any other spring reverb unit you've ever used. In fact, you almost can't tell it's a spring reverb. It's lush and rich sounding, almost like a plate but darker. Incredible on strings and soft vocals.
This one is hard to let go of, but it wasn't getting used as much as it used to, and we needed some rack space for a few new effects units. I'm 100% I'll regret selling this, especially since they are now out of production and pretty hard to find (especially these older original units). This one is in perfect working order, and is an early serial number. It was sent to Tall Bird to add extra shielding around the power transformer to lower the noise floor - works great.
