The original Altec M11 Microphone System consisted of the M150 microphone body, a microphone capsule, and a power supply.
This particular set is paired with the more desirable end-address 21D capsule and the rack mount P519A power supply which has been fully rebuilt and mounted in a custom rack with a custom-engraved back panel, brand new connectors, and wooden rack panels. This set is completed with a brand new high quality tube mic cable.
The M150 microphone base has an NOS 6AU6 tube installed, hand picked and tested for lowest noise out hundreds of other 6AU6 tubes. The set will also come with a spare hand-picked NOS 6AU6.
The 21D capsule is the best sounding capsule made for the M11 System. It has holes in the front of the capsule for end-address applications and has the best frequency response of the 21-series capsules.
This P519A PSU has been completely restored and all old and potentially troublesome compenents have been replaced, including new wiring and all new capacitors. The original and highly desirable TB-103 output transformer is present and working to spec.
