DETAILED DESCRIPTION (click to expand)

This is a sequential stereo matched pair of extremely rare NHK RU4 unidirectional ribbon microphones, manufactured by Toshiba to NHK specs. The RU4 is a much better sounding version of the well-known RCA BK5 with extended low end and an exceptionally smooth but present midrange. The RU5 has a six-position high pass filter on it's bottom.

This pair of RU4s have been fully serviced, re-ribonned and matched by Cole Suddarth at Cole Picks Vintage.
