The MD-300 is one of LOMO's latest dynamic mics - manufactured in the early 90's just before the collapse of the Soviet Union - and has a very nice balanced tone that makes it a great all-purpose microphone. It looks just like the LOMO 82a12, which looks an awful lot like the Shure SM59. I believe that the MD-300 has a built-in high pass filter for vocals and toms and
snare, whereas the 82a12 is more full-range – but I could be wrong. Either way, that’s what this mic is best used for. We had three of them and now there's just one. Please note that the one pictured here has the original clip, but the one we have left has a non-original clip and is priced accordingly.

The recording below was made entirely using only this MD300 along with a second one as the second drum mic. This is our second original Microphone Jingle, written and performed by Lewis Rogers. There is no processing on any of the tracks.
